Part way up the mountain - you can see that it was a beautiful day. We had been told that it would be cold and so had taken warm clothes with additional warm jackets and Sharryn and Garey even took rain jackets. But we didn't need any of them, and ended up carrying them the whole day.




This is Nicole and her parents, Beatrice and Markus. We had met Beatrice and Markus on our trip to Bern in 2004 and they made us just as welcome this time around. It was lovely to spend the day with them and then we all went back to their chalet in Grindelwald for dinner at night before returning to Bern. There were another couple walking with us who were friends of Markus and Beatrice.
